As you may be a aware I am a massive fan of Hawkwind.
As a teenager and short of funds I bought my first Hawkwind Album called "Masters of The Universe".
Over the years I have enjoyed their classic material and some of there cutting edge and ambient pieces.
Live they are loud and highly entertaining with an amazing light show, live dancers fire eaters etc and hopefully I will be sing them again this December.
The band has never sold out to commercialism and many succesfull bands cite them as an influence.
Sadly Hawkwind had a loss earlier this month there key board player this week. Jason Stewart aged 38 died suddenly of a brain hemorrhage.
A sad loss for a young and talented man, a sad loss to the band and their fans.
There is FREE CAMPING for ticket holders going to the HAWKWIND gig at SKYFEST Biddulph Grange Country Park on 12th July.
