Many people can cover themselves in the trappings of the occult or paganism. Most would not know an incummbus from a succumbi and a sweeping brush from a besom. And why should they?
I recall a time when my house was fit to burst with numerous books and objects, a real wizards study all of my own and containing the tools and weapons of the Art.
Many struggle with the difficulty of the ritual, which granted in advanced keys needs much preparation and practice.
To possess such fine tools is nice and of course such symbolism for many is essential. And there was a time when I also needed to hold such tools to practice the arts.

And I still feel that in group work it is important to uses such symbolism and correspondences.
Yet as we progress and become at one with the art in paticular when we may be on our own working as a solitary Wiccan, Pagan, Mage, etc certain skills become as understood as memory, and impeccable in form.
Now I can retreat within my memory theater and complete the tasks required. From created a sacred space to invovation, ritual and close.
My inner world is the point of the pentagram, (Spirit).
My right forefinger as good in my mind as any wand, (Fire), here I can draw the sigils in flame.
My heart and body is the chalice, (Water).
My breath and tounge is a sword,(Fire).
My feet walk on penatacles, (Earth).
It is the same in dreams when realising one is having a dream or when with purpose traveling the Astral or communing with the Etheric Realms, here we can create at will all the tools of art that are required.
