Hagakure
The holy person cannot complete the way if there is no compassion, also one must continually build up a store of courage within.
If the warrior does not manifest courage on the outside and hold compassion within their heart, they will not be a noble servant. The Holy pursue courage with the warrior as their model, the warrior puruses the compassion of the Holy.
A Warrior will rush into battle making their armour their stength. The Holy do they rush in armed with their prayer beads and holy scriptures, armed only with meekness and compassion? If they do then there must be great courage indeed,
The courage required to save the souls of humanity from hell are immense.
The focus on one the Holy is the nature of the human soul.
The focus in the Warrior is impeccable action in battle.
Both should have individual focus and not concern one with the other however both need courage and compassion.
And what of THE NOW. What of us who battle daily. What of us who walk the middle path between mercy and severity.
We are assailed by the ego of others, the pace of life, the pressures or work, a society that barely cares, a family life perhaps far from perfect.
We fight daily.
We care for our nature and that of our fellow man. We care for the nature of the soul and the future that is ours to have.
We are no less brave than the warrior.
We are no less compassionate than the holy.
Commpassion is like a mother who nurtures one's fate.
Examples of the ruin of merciless warriors who were brave alone are visible clearly in the past and present.

Compassion is another precious feature that females generally exhibit far more than males.
Compassion must however be controlled and not degrade to being too soft, leading to the spoiling of children as but one example.
